Rider Boys Get 2nd District Win

The Rider Raiders defeated Lake Dallas Friday night at Rider Fieldhouse by a score of 55-35 to improve to 2-4 in District 4-4A play.

Zach Dickey led the Raiders with 17 points, while Christien Sager scored 12.

Rider improved to 8-12 overall.

Earlier, the Lady Raiders knocked off the Lady Falcons 47-27 to move to 22-6 overall and 7-1 in 4-4A, staying a game behind first-place Denton Ryan.

Erin Henderson scored 12 points, while Jazzmin Hill scored 10.

Sammie Hislop sat out her second straight game with an ankle injury suffered against Wichita Falls High School last Friday.

In other District 4-4A action, Wichita Falls High School visited Denton High and came away with a pair of wins.

The Lady Coyotes snapped a 3-game losing streak with a 49-36 win over the Lady Broncos. Carolyn Taylor scored 15 and Danielle Randolph added 14 for Old High, which is now 19-6 overall and 4-4 in district.

The Coyotes then defeated the Broncos 57-51 to move to 4-2 in district. DJ Jordan scored 17 points and Bubba Mathis added 10 for the Coyotes, who are 10-13 overall.
