Some much needed equipment is coming to the Wichita County Sheriff's office and the County Jail.
The Wichita County Commissioners met today in a special session and approved the purchase of chest pads and long life replacement batteries for defibrillators using money from interest from Tobacco Funds.
They also approved a fourth payment for roof repairs to the County Courthouse that sprung a leak last year.
The water seeped into part of the jail and that forced the county to move inmates to other county jails costing Wichita County money.
Santa Rosa Construction Company will receive $134,000 and another $3,000 will be going to Harper-Perkins Architects for their services to the same project.
