UPDATE:Fatal Accident Takes the Life of One Man

Officials say the man who died after losing control of a motorcycle he had stolen, had a record including murder and other motorcycle thefts.

Christopher Shawn Forbins, 36, also known as Christopher Deshawn Fisher of Allen, Texas, died around Sunday afternoon on Highway 287 North, just inside the Clay County line.

Paramedics received the call just before 1:30 pm.  State Troopers, Clay County Deputies, and Clay County Paramedics arrived at the scene.

Officials say Forbins was speeding on 287, near Butler Road, when he popped a wheelie, lost control of the stolen bike, and was thrown.

Forbins was charged in 2008 with theft of a 2003 Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle in Sulphur Springs. He was also convicted of murder in Tarrant County in 1994, and received a 10-year sentence.

His criminal record also shows convictions for possession of a firearm by a felon, theft, and evading arrest in a motor vehicle.

Law enforcement is working to find the owner of the stolen bike.
