Gun Scare At Texoma Clinic

A gun scare ended peacefully at a Wichita Falls clinic.

Multiple calls were made to the Newschannel 6 newsroom around 10:30 a.m. about a man with a gun at the Clinics of North Texas. We immediately put in calls to the clinic and spoke with police. Both confirmed a man with a gun did walk into the Clinics of North Texas but said he was not dangerous.

Police said the man's gun was in a holster. Police said the man had a permit from another state to carry the weapon. They were also checking to make sure he is licensed to carry in Texas. Officials at the clinic said the man simply did not see the sign posted on their doorways prohibiting weapons.

The clinic was never evacuated, but police were called. Clinics of North Texas officials said patients at the facility were never in harm's way.
