US Congressman Mac Thornberry Reacts To State of The Union

We spoke with District 13 U.S. Congressman Mac Thornberry live on Newschannel 6 at 10 Tuesday night after President Barack Obama's State of the Union Address.

We asked the Congressman his overall thoughts on the speech. We as lo asked the Congressman if he thought President Obama's efforts to walk middle of the aisle would make a difference. The President told Congress he would veto any legislation that came to his desk with "earmarks" in it. We asked Congressman Thornberry for his thoughts on that. Finally we asked the Congressman what he thought about the President saying, "Tonight, I challenge you to join me in setting a new goal: by 2035, 80% of America's electricity will come from clean energy sources."

You can hear what the Congressman had to say by clicking on the video that is attached to this story.
