Bowie High School Trustees Will Discuss Plans For The School

Bowie High School students could receive a new addition to their athletic complex. Bowie school trustees are scheduled to meet Thursday night to discuss creating a "Memory Garden" at the high school. Superintendent Steven Monkres will recognize trustees during January's School Board Appreciation Month.

Trustees plan to take action on proposed campus improvements for the new year, along with changing the February regular meeting date; approving two policy updates and the student transfer list; and review of the district's annual Academic Excellence Indicator System.

Officials say the meeting will open with a recognition of several students for their various educational accomplishments.
