Suspected Fugitives Caught In A Routine Traffic Stop

The Wichita County Sheriff's Office said deputies have put two fugitives behind bars. They were captured Wednesday, January 26, during a routine traffic stop.

Deputies said they pulled over Anthony Dewayne Walters, 36, around 7:15 p.m. in the 1300 block of 6th Street.

Both Walters and his passenger, Ashley Evonne Tillery, 25, were placed under arrest.

Deputies said Walters faces charges of Driving While License Invalid. They said he also has outstanding warrants for Fugitive from Justice-1st. Degree Assault, Fugitive from Justice-2nd. Degree Assault, Fugitive from Justice-Reckless Endangerment, Fugitive from Justice-Dangerous Weapon with Intent to Injure, and Fugitive from Justice-Malicious Destruction of Property.  

Tillery is facing charges for outstanding warrants for Expired Registration, No Seat Belt (Passenger) Occupant over 15 Unsecured, Failure to Maintain Financial Responsibility and Violate Promise to Appear.
