Dallas: Papers, Not Bomb, Found In Suspicious Package

(Reuters) - A suspicious FedEx package that prompted the evacuation of a downtown Dallas office tower on Thursday contained papers, and police gave the all clear.

Local police said the 33-story office tower located at One Main Place in downtown Dallas was briefly evacuated after the package was found in the basement.

An explosives ordinance team was brought in but the package contained only papers, the police said.

The incident came a day after two suspicious packages were removed from Republican Senator John Cornyn's Dallas-area office. A bomb squad determined they were not a threat.
