The Wichita Falls Wildcats desperately needed to take care of business Friday night.
They had the NAHL South division's cellar-dwellers in town, a team that had not won a road game all season.
And the Wildcats had only won three games since Thanksgiving, coming off an 0-3-1 road trip.
They did take care of business, romping past the Mustangs 5-0.
Dakota Klecha got things started just 1:15 in, taking a feed from Tanner Fahlstedt and beating New Mexico goalie Matt Madore to put the Cats up 1-0.
Later in the first, Chris Leone put the Wildcats up 2-0 on the power play, converting a rebound off of a Will Suter shot in a scrum in front of the net at 13:02.
The 'Cats added three more goals in the second period, from Mac Olson, Drew Allen and Patrick Yudez, to build a commanding lead. Yudez's goal was an unassisted, shorthanded goal.
Tyler Green stopped all 29 shots he faced for his second shutout of the season.
