Pancake Festival Draws Thousands

The 55th annual University Kiwanis Pancake Festival drew thousands of people to the JS Bridwell Ag center Saturday. Festivities started bright and early at 6 a.m.

Last year's event drew around 12,000 people and raised around $57,000. Organizers at this year's festival said they hope to approach those figures again.

All proceeds from the festival go to scholarships, Texoma charities and other community causes. Tickets were $6 in advance and $7 at the door. The festival ran until 6 p.m.
