Texas Roads Hurting For Money

The state transportation projects are headed for a crisis.  That's what Texas lawmakers are saying.  The gasoline tax for road maintenance and construction hasn't increased in 20 years, and more fuel efficient vehicles means its proceeds have been on the decline.  One state representative says Texas will soon have no money to build roads.  Some lawmakers say raising the gas tax isn't realistic for several reasons, including Governor Perry's 'no new tax' pledge.
