Wildcats Reclaim Bragging Rights Over Tornado

Reported by: Charlie Bartlett

Rivalry games are always fun especially when it comes to the Wichita Falls Wildcats and the Texas Tornado.

Saturday night at the Kay Yeager Coliseum, it was all fun for the Wildcats, not for the Tornado. They beat Texas, their biggest NAHL rival 4-2 giving them their third consecutive win.

It was a quiet first period with no score, but the Cats turned it on in the second period. They got two goals from Wade Bennett and Mikhail Sentyurin, giving them the 2-0 lead into the 3rd period

The Tornado responded right back in the 3rd, tying the game at 2-2, but the Cats had a different plan. They answered back with two more goals from Dakota Klecha and Drew Allen.

Wildcats are now 20-18-4. They're next game is Wednesday night back at the Kay Yeager Coliseum against the Amarillo Bulls.

Face-off set for 7:05 PM
