City of Wichita Falls Street Crew Preparing For More Snow

The City of Wichita Falls street crews are preparing for the next round of winter weather.

The street department will have 3 blades, 7 ice chat spreaders, 4 loaders, 3 backhoes, and 10 additional dump trucks in reserve if needed.

Sanitation crews picked up as many Tuesday commercial routes as they could on Monday, in case the weather conditions prevent them from going out Tuesday.

The route superintendent will be in at 5:00am to determine if trash routes will be run throughout the day. All shifts will report as usual to water and sewer treatment facilities. City staff has worked through these facilities to ensure that they are ready for the cold weather.
