There were four basketball games on Thursday night's schedule of make-ups, but only one really had a significant bearing on the playoff picture.
The Rider Lady Raiders clinched the second playoff spot in District 4-4A with a 44-25 win over visiting Denton on Senior Night.
They sent seniors Lindy Larson, Christa Ingle, Sammie Hislop, Jazzmin Hill, Lauren Haley and Ashley Zimpel off in style, setting up a Tuesday night Bi-District meeting with Wolfforth Frenship, which will tip off at 6 PM in Childress.
The Lady Tigers (22-9) finished 3rd in a brutal District 3-4A, which also features #1 Canyon (31-0), #10 Plainview (28-4) and #25 Palo Duro (18-12).
In the boys' game earlier, J.T. Barrett led the Raiders to a 44-40 win over Denton High.
Barrett scored a game-high 17 points, while Christian Sager and Zack Dickey each added nine for Rider.
The Raiders improved to 9-15 on the season, 3-7 in District 4-4A. Denton fell to 5-24, 1-9 in district.
