Man Charged For Burglarizing A Home

Officers are charging a 21 year old for burglarizing a home. Police responded to the burglary in the 100 block of Fillmore on December 19, 2010.

Police said the homeowner left her house on the morning of December 15th and returned on December 19th. She told officers that when we returned home, she found a broken kitchen window.

The homeowner reported several items were taken from her home, including two mink coats valued at $21,000 together, several pieces of jewelry & diamond certificates, Toshiba Laptop, canon printer, and VCR.

On December 21st, Matthew Maxwell was arrested fro burglary while caught inside the homeowner's house.He was found asleep in the residence and had been cooking in the house.

Maxwell admitted to police that he committed the burglaries to make money for drugs. He is charged with burglary of a habitation.
