Wildcats' Win Streak Comes to an End

The Wichita Falls Wildcats gave up two first-period goals to Amarillo Friday night, and couldn't overcome the deficit in a 2-1 loss at Kay Yeager Coliseum.

Nick Marsh scored a power-play goal for the Wildcats in the second period, but it wasn't enough to offset goals by Brandon Lubin and Matt Johnson for the Bulls.

It was a chippy affair, featuring a combined 173 minutes' worth of penalties and a wild scrum at the start of the second period that led to seven Major penalties for fighting and six 10-Minute and/or Game Misconducts.

Tyler Green stopped 31 of 33 shots for the Wildcats, who lost for the first time in five games.

A crowd of 1,748 was on hand.

The 'Cats will stay home the next two weekends, hosting the rival Texas Tornado next week and then New Mexico the last weekend of February.
