Big Spending On The Agenda: Wichita County Commissioners

Wichita County Commissioners will meet Monday and are expected to sign off on a $95,000 bill to transfer records. There are 31,000 pages of land records and documents from 1978 to 1980 that need to be put into computers. The price could decrease if there are less pages than estimated.

Additionally, Commissioners will approve another $44,000 for roof repairs to the Wichita County Courthouse. This is the fifth installment. The roof repairs were needed because of heavy spring rains that forced a leak in parts of the jail.

The meeting is open to the public. It begins at 10 a.m. at the Wichita County Courthouse.
