2 W.F. City Councilors Announce Plans As Terms Come To An End

Two Wichita Falls City Councilors are making plans to run for re-election.

Councilor Michael Smith says he will run for re-election for the first district position. He says, "I hope the next two years, my last two years on the council will be two years where we can sort of retrench and then go on to the needs for the city for the future."

Councilor Dorothy Roberts-Burns has reached her term limit for the second district seat, so she is vying for a new spot. Roberts-Burns says she is going to run for councilor at large.
The city elections are May 14th. If you would like to run for city council candidate packets are available in the City Clerks Office. The last day to file your paperwork is March 14.
