Texoma County Commissioners Discussed Their Burn Bans

Clay and Young county commissioners met Monday morning and decided to lift their burn bans.

Archer county commissioners reinstated their ban, with the exception of only allowing agriculture burns with an approved site visit from the emergency manager's office. The commissioners have approved an agriculture burn as defined as: Any land that has been cut down, raked, and put in a pile ready for burn.

Weather has to be as follows: Winds must be below 25 MPH, Relative Humidity has to be higher than 20%. Anything outside of what has been described has to have a Certified/Insured Prescribed Burn Manager on site conducting the burn.
