Wichita Falls High School knew they had a tall task going in to their matchup with undefeated state number 1 Canyon Monday night.
It didn't help that several of their key players were slowed or sidelined by illness.
But the Lady Coyotes fought to the end, despite taking a 29-point beating, falling 60-31 to the Lady Eagles.
Senior forward Carolyn Taylor led the way with 13 points and 12 rebounds for WFHS, who finished the season with 20 wins and 10 losses.
It was the 4th straight 20-win and playoff season for Old High.
