W.F. City Officials Looking To The Future In A Special Meeting

City officials are in a special meeting discussing plans to make Wichita Falls better.

The Wichita Falls City Council and Mayor Glenn Barham discussed the master drainage plan earlier today. They looked at the 100 year flood, how much certain areas flood, and how the areas will change when the survey is done.
Right now there are 17 projects the city is looking at totaling $37 million with the most expensive project costing around $5.5 million. Officials say they plan to tackle the smaller projects first while saving for the bigger ones.

The city is also looking at a river bank beautification project for the Wichita River.
