Police Arrest A Man After Leading Them On A Chase

Wichita Falls police were sent to a possible burglary of a habitation in progress Thursday morning, when they saw a Malibu leaving the area. The police started following the vehicle on Yale Street. Officers said the car made it to Holliday, driving fast, running stop signs and red lights.

The police tried to pull the driver, Darrell Eugene Williams, 31, over but said he started going faster. Officer said Williams lost control around Central Freeway and Kell East and went into a grassy median near Kell East and Travis.

Williams got out of the car and walked toward officers. That's when police arrested him. The vehicle checked out to be possibly stolen from the night before.

Williams was arrested for Evading Arrest or Detention and Possession of Marijuana Under 2 ounces.
