Soccer: Coyotes, Raiders Get Big Wins

The Wichita Falls High School Lady Coyotes jumped out to a quick start Friday night against Decatur.

They were up 3-0 in the first five minutes of the game, and poured it on from there for a 7-0 victory over the Lady Eagles.

Payton Fookes scored a goal and two assists, and Courtney Evars and Taylor Holden recorded a pair of assists each for the Lady Coyotes (15-1), who will visit Gainesville Tuesday at 5 PM.

The Coyote boys scored an even bigger win, defeating the Eagles 10-0 Friday night in Decatur. WFHS (11-0-4) will host Gainesville Tuesday at 7 PM at GWFSA Field E.

Rider Wins Two Against Hirschi

The #2 Rider Raiders also got a quick start Friday, scoring five goals in the first 18 minutes against Hirschi at Memorial Stadium.

Travis Penney led the Raiders with 4 goals, as they posted a 10-2 win over the Huskies.

Rider (12-2-2) will welcome Decatur to Memorial Stadium Tuesday night at 7 PM.

The Lady Raiders also got a big win, shutting out the Lady Huskies 5-0 to improve to 13-3-2 on the year. They will visit the Lady Eagles Tuesday night at 7 PM.

Burk Girls Fall at Home

The Burkburnett Lady Bulldogs fell to Gainesville at home by a final score of 1-0.
