Jacksboro Names New Coach to Replace Departing Allison

Jacksboro ISD announced a replacement Monday for outgoing Head Football Coach Tommy Allison.

Offensive Coordinator Brian Hodnett will take over after Allison spent one year in Tigerland, with a 4-6 record and a 4th-place District 3-2A-II finish.

Allison leaves to take over at Class 3A Robinson, just outside of Waco.

His offense was very effective, scoring over 30 points per game with All-State receiver Dalton Tisdale and All-District quarterback Carson Earp, but his defense struggled, allowing over 36 points per contest.

Allison came to Jacksboro after an exhaustive month-long search from Class A Cayuga, where he won a state championship in 2009.
