Bowie H.S. Principal Resigns

The current Bowie High School principal Mark Neese has submitted his resignation to the school board and he says it's "been a blessing" working at the school.

He announced that he has no current plans for another job, but that he's taking the time off to spend it with his family, becoming a better husband and father.

Superintendent Steven Monkres says Neese has done a good job for the BISD, and that Neese is a good man who brought a lot of enthusiasm to the position, and has done a lot of good things at Bowie High School.

As far as a replacement goes, Monkres says the board hopes to name a new principal by the end of this school year, and that they should have a hiring plan outlined by the end of March.
