Decision Coming For Ft. Hood Shooter's Fate

An army official will soon recommend whether the Fort Hood shooting suspect should stand trial, and whether Major Nidal Hasan should face the death penalty.

Neither Fort Hood officials nor defense attorneys say what happened in a recent meeting. Whatever the army officials recommend, the commanding general will then make the final decision about how the case proceeds.

Hasan is charged with 13 counts of murder and 32 counts of attempted murder.
