Two men have been charged with crimes after Wichita Falls Police say the pair led them on a car chase. Mark Roach has been charged with Evading Arrest by Vehicle. Devon Williams has been charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Police say he had a Meth pipe.
It started when Officers tried to pull Roach over. They say he blew a train crossing along Iowa Park Road. A train was coming. Police say Roach did not pull over, but instead drove away. As the car was heading through a neighborhood, Police say the passenger, Williams, threw materials used to make Meth out the car window.
Neighbors that live in the area were not pleased with the chase hitting so close to home. "I don't like it," said Joy Kelly. She says she worries about what could have happened, especially gunfire.
Kelly says the street is usually quiet. "We don't have a drug problem around here that I know of," she said.
The pursuit was called off when the car was headed towards I-44. A description of the car was broadcast to other officers. Within minutes, the pair was spotted near I-44 and 5th Street. They were arrested and taken to the Wichita County Jail.
