High School Baseball: Coyote/Hawk Rotational

The Coyote/Hawk Rotational continued Friday afternoon with Wichita Falls High School facing Vernon.

The Coyotes jumped out to a quick start, building a 7-2 lead through three innings, on their way to a 9-3 win.

In other action, Iowa Park got a 9-4 win at home over Dumas. Kenen Wininger had the two-run double that put the Hawks ahead in the first inning.

On Saturday Wichita Falls High School will meet Iowa Park in the tournament finale at 12:30 PM at Hoskins Field.

Hirschi Makes Tiger Invitational Finale

The Hirschi Huskies took a 10-0 win over Electra in the Tiger Invitational in Jacksboro to earn a spot in the tournament's championship against the hosts.

Cameron Parrish struck out five Electra players for the win. The Huskies improved to 3-1 on the season, and won a tiebreaker after tying with Petrolia and Breckenridge for first place in their pool.

They will face Jacksboro at 5:30 PM Saturday.

Wichita Christian Wins Program's Debut

The Wichita Christian Stars played their first-ever baseball game Friday afternoon at Notre Dame's field.

They hosted the Bryson Cowboys and used a keen eye at the plate to run past the Cowboys 22-4.

Billy Iseman got the start and the win for the Stars (1-0).

Notre Dame Splits Pair

The Notre Dame Knights played a double-header today in Boyd, facing both the Yellowjacket Varsity and Junior Varsity.

The Knights got a 9-5 win over the JV, before falling 11-0 to the Varsity.
