A Monday morning grass fire is a reminder that the risk for wildfires is still high.

Four volunteer fire departments fought the blaze around 7 Monday morning. Punkin Center, KMA, Iowa Park and Electra Volunteer Fire Departments responded to the blaze near Highway 25 and FM 367 near Beaver Creek. Two bulldozers came to help get the fire under control.
We have calls into officials to find out the cause and how many acres burned.
