HS Softball: Windthorst Beats #7 Petrolia in Rivalry Game

The Windthorst Trojanettes used an 8-run sixth inning to turn a 1-0 game into a 9-0 lead, then held off a four-run Petrolia 7th inning for a 9-4 win Monday night in Windthorst.

The Lady Pirates came in ranked #7 in the state in the latest TGCA rankings, but could not put a run on the board until the game was already out of reach.

Kelsie Berend and Lexi Koetter each hit a home run for the Trojanettes, who finished second in their tournament over the weekend, falling to Gunter in the championship.

Next they will compete in the Bowie Tournament this weekend.
