Medal of Arts to be Presented Today

Today at the White House the president and the fist lady will present awards to 20 leading American artists. 

The National Medal of Arts will be awarded to actors such as Meryl Streep, a few authors, including Harper Lee and Phillip Roth. This award is the highest honor given to artists and arts patrons by the United States government.
