Grand Jury Indicts Texoma Man Caught Forcing Himself On A Woman

Wichita Falls police say they caught a 43 year old man forcing himself on a woman.
Police were called to a disturbance at a residence by another person in the house February 4th. Police say they heard a female voice screaming for help from inside the residence.
A second officer kicked open the door and officers made entry. Police saw Efrain Muniz standing over the victim. Police detained Muniz.
The victim told police Muniz sexually assaulted her and became physically aggressive, eventually using his right forearm on her neck, cutting off her airway. It was about that time that officers made entrance into the home.
According to the affidavit the victim had several injuries, including abrasions on both sides of her neck and abrasion on her middle back and shoulder blade. Muniz was transported to Wichita Co. jail without incident.
A Wichita County grand jury indicted Muniz on one count of sexual assault.
