Dog Show Brings in 1,000 Furry Friends

This weekend the Faith City Kennel Club is hosting the 50th anniversary dog show at the JS Bridwell AG center.

Festivities kicked off Friday with Texoma Bulldog Club Specialty Friday.  All breeds began competing in the AKC confirmation show.  More than 1,000 dogs and their owners are strutting their stuff.

Participants say this isn't all fun and games, they're working hard toward some pretty loft goals.

"I've been showing Borzoi's in Wichita Falls for probably 30 years.  He's got obedience titles and we're working toward that and he's working toward his American Kennel Club championship," said dog owner Judith Brown.

All breed confirmation show continues to Sunday from 8am until 5pm.  The Faith City Kennel Club was founded in 1958 and hosted its first dog show in 1961 with just under 300 participants.
