W.F. Crime Stoppers Bowled It's Way To More Funding

A local chapter of a National Organization bowled its way to more funding.

The Wichita Falls Crime Stoppers hosted a bowling tournament Sunday night.

The chapter's goal was to raise money for the local branch, which has been underway since the early 80's.

The bowling tournament was held at Village Bowl in Wichita Falls and was a first-time fundraiser for the group.

Crime stoppers allows members of the community to provide anonymous information about criminal activity in the area.

The organization has been responsible for more than half a million arrests and clearing more than 800,000 cases nationwide.
