Burkburnett City officials met in a special session Monday night where they approved City Secretary Trish Holley as the new Burk interim city manager.
Former interim City Manager Don Ives was fired after being arrested for public intoxication.
According to Burk Police Chief Mike Tracy, Ives was arrested Thursday night at a residential area.
He was charged with public intoxication and disorderly conduct.
Ives took over the position after former City Manager Mike Slye left for a job in Trophy Club, Texas.
A meeting is scheduled on Wednesday where city commissioners are set to discuss filling the spot in a more permanent way.
There are currently three finalists for the city manager job in Burk. There is no word on when that position will be filled.
