High School Seniors Getting Jump Start

Partners In Education is sending off high school seniors with a bundle of real world advice.

The mini-conference, held Wednesday, at the MPEC in Wichita Falls, gave Seniors the opportunity to jump-start their road to independence.

It was done by attending workshops, such as who needs a budget and gizmos galore.

One High School Senior told Newschannel 6 she learned a little something new about a topic she thought she was familiar with.

"The budgeting one was a big help because I always thought I was good at budgeting, but there's a lot of extra stuff you need to know as far as going to your bank and taking care of checking accounts and credit card accounts." said high school senior Payton Beggs.

The schools attending included Harrell Accelerated Learning Center, Hirschi, Rider, and Wichita Falls High School.
