Two Facing Charges in Alleged Gang Beating

Two men have been charged in an alleged gang beating in Wichita Falls.

According to a police affidavit, the victim said he was having a conversation with his estranged wife in the 400 block of N. Scott Ave. back in November of 2010. The victim's wife was dating a member of the Varrio Carnales gang.

The victim said while he was talking to his wife, a man stepped between him and his wife.  Then another man punched the victim in the mouth. The affidavit shows the victim was bleeding from that hit when his wife escorted him out to his car.

The victim said he was in his car when he heard the passenger side door open. Thinking it was his wife getting in, the victim said he looked over and he was punched in the face by VC gang member Abbott Uranga.

The affidavit then indicates the victim tried to get out of his car when another man, later identified by the victim's wife as another gang member, hit him again. The victim was then hit yet again, this time by Jonathon Jaramillo. At that point, the victim said a group of men knocked him to the ground and continued to hit and kick him.

Police have arrested 17-year-old Jonathon Jaramillo and 18-year-old Abbott Uranga. Both are charged with Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity-Assault.
