Rider Wins Pair in Abilene

The Rider Raiders continued a strong week with a pair of wins in the Abilene Tournament, running their win streak to four.

Friday morning #10 Rider defeated El Paso Del Valle 19-2.

Gage Green got the win on the mound, while Ben Smith was the hitting star, going four for four.

In the afternoon game, Rider defeated Abilene Cooper 10-3 on Cooper's field.

Blake Burrus got the win, striking out two.

Ben Cummings and Ben Bates each went three for four from the dish.

The wins improve Rider to 11-5 overall on the season.

They'll finish up the tournament with two games Saturday, against Sweetwater and Abilene High, before finally making their 2011 home debut Tuesday against Lake Dallas.
