Runners Fill Downtown

Downtown Wichita Falls was filled with runners Saturday afternoon.

A 5k run and walk took place along 8th and Ohio.  About 150 people participated in the event that benefits the local YMCA.

"This is our first annual Shamrock run and we're doing it in conjunction with the St. Patrick's Day festival with the city. It's just a great way to come out with your family and get some exercise in and enjoy the festivities," said Erin Darche, Director of Programming.

The money raised goes back into programs for kids to go to the YMCA who can't otherwise afford to do so.

You can expect this run to take place again next year.
