Wichita Falls City Council Approves Upgraded Warning System

City of Wichita Falls is about to upgrade their outdoor warning sirens and add some new ones.

City Councilors approved more than $122,000 for 5 new sirens and upgrade components for 8 existing sirens.

The funds do not include the $13,000 dollars that will be needed for poles on those 5 new sirens.

This is part of a 4 year plan approved to replace the outdoor warning system.

140,000 was budgeted by the council and the 4-B sales tax board.
