Elections, Bans, And Awards On Wichita Co. Commissioners Agenda

 In preparation for the May 14th City Municipal Elections, Wichita County Commissioners met today to discuss the correct cost of maintenance for the county's voting machines. They say the price they received was higher than estimated. Commissioners plan to amend their order to almost $19,000, meant to replace batteries on all of the voting machines.

Also on the agenda, Commissioners decided to enact a burn ban until further notice.

Commissioners also handed out awards and declared today "Absolutely Incredible Kids Day." Awards were given to Cub Scout Cody Brock and Wichita County Treasurer Bob Hampton for his work with Campfire USA.
