Update On Wichita Falls Man Indicted in Connection to Meth Lab

The trial for Wichita Falls man indicted for manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance has been reset. Thirty-nine-year-old Lucio Montez Jr was arrested alongside three other men in March in connection to a meth lab. Montez's pre-trial hearing is rescheduled for November 4.

Wichita County Sheriff's Deputies say they busted three suspects in connection to a large meth bust.

While on a routine patrol, deputies say they discovered a meth lab, detected by a strong odor by a patrol in the 2000 block of FM-171 or Charlie Road Monday evening. Upon further investigation, deputies say they found a working meth lab located in a barn behind the home.

Deputies then arrested Jimmy Green, 52, Lucio Montez Jr., 39, and Weldon Lundy, 45, each charged with Manufacturing/Delivery of a controlled substance, Methamphetamine over four grams under 200 grams, a first degree felony. Deputies say they also took away more than 1,400 grams of meth from the scene.

Bond has been set for $100,000 for each suspect.
