Copper Thief On The Loose In The Falls

The Wichita Falls Police Department and Crime Stoppers are looking for a suspect or suspects involved in a copper theft of a downtown business.

Police say in the afternoon of Tuesday, March 15th, they received a call from a business owner, saying they had walked into their building in the 900 block of Ohio Ave. to find 2" copper pipe missing from ceiling. Also missing from the building, copper in the walk-in freezer and an old soda vending machine.

Investigators believe the entry was made through the garage.

The total value of the copper tubing taken is $11,000, the value of the vending machine at $2,000.
