Defense Secretary Gates To Deliver OU Commencement

NORMAN, Okla. (AP) - The University of Oklahoma has announced the U.S. Secretary of Defense Robert Gates will deliver the university's commencement address.

The announcement was made Tuesday in a news release from OU President David Boren.

Gates has served as defense secretary since 2006 under both President George W. Bush and President Barack Obama.

Gates previously worked for the Central Intelligence Agency for 27 years - serving as CIA director from 1991 to 1993. He is also a past president of Texas A&M University.
