Texoma Man Not Indicted On Murder Charges

A Texoma man who was accused of killing another man will not head to trial on murder charges. Wichita County grand jury did not find enough evidence to indict Jason Acheson.

Acheson was accused of killing Simon Gonzales in March 2010. Officers said Gonzales was involved in a relationship with Acheson's wife at the time.

Investigators said Acheson spotted Gonzales walking in front of a club on Scott Street. They said Acheson stopped to talk with him and the scene escalated from there.

Police said Gonzales went up to Acheson and threatened to assault him. Police said that's when Acheson pulled out a gun and shot him.

David Gonzales was transported to the United Regional hospital where he later died.
