Police Nab Chase Suspect Near Sheppard

Wichita Falls police arrested a 27-year-old man who led them on a chase through the streets of Wichita Falls Monday afternoon. The arrest came hours after the initial chase. Police pulled Eric Ruben Ward over Monday for a traffic violation. When the officer asked Ward for his I.D., police say he took off and led officers on a pursuit to an area on Burkburnett Road. Police say Ward got out of his vehicle and ran into a wooded area. Hours later, officers got a call and arrested the suspect in the 1700 block of Sheppard Access Road. Ward faces charges of Evading Arrest in a Vehicle and Failure to Identify.
