HS Softball: WFHS Blows Out Denton

The Wichita Falls High School Lady Coyotes broke out in a big way Tuesday night at Sunrise Optimist Softball Complex with a 12-3 win over Denton High.

Allison Graddy hit a bases-loaded triple to break the game open in the 6th inning, putting Old High up 11-3.

Hunter O'Malley hit a bloop single to left field to score Graddy for the final margin in the game.

Delaney Bedunah got the win in the circle for the Lady Coyotes, who will step out of district play on Friday to host Mineral Wells at Optimist Field 4 at 7 PM.

Rider Run-Rules Lake Dallas

The Rider Lady Raiders stayed on a roll in District 4-4A play, beating Lake Dallas 12-0 in five innings Tuesday night in Lake Dallas.

Sammie Hislop did not allow a hit in five innings of work, striking out ten Lady Falcons.

Abby Donnell went 3/4 with a first-inning solo home run and three runs scored, while Morgan Lewis also homered in the first inning.

Stacey Fosnaugh went 3/3 with three runs scored and one batted in for Rider (21-6, 7-1), who will face the team that handed them their only district loss, Denton Ryan, Friday night at Optimist Field Two.

Iowa Park Shuts Out Vernon

Peyton Helton threw a complete-game shutout for Iowa Park as the Lady Hawks beat Vernon 9-0 in Vernon.

Kelly Woods went 3/4 with two runs scored, while Macey Fields was also 3/4, scoring two runs and driving in three more as the Lady Hawks improved to 21-7 overall and 5-0 in District 6-3A.

They will visit Wichita Falls Friday night to face the Hirschi Lady Huskies at Optimist Field 1 at 7 PM.

Windthorst Beats Up Archer City

The Windthorst Trojanettes blew out Archer City 22-2 in three innings Tuesday in Archer City.

Kelsey Hise struck out seven Lady Cats while allowing no hits and two walks. She also was 2/2 from the plate with a double and a three-run home run, her 6th of the season.

Windthorst will host Olney Friday night, with JV starting at 4 PM and the Varsity to follow.
