Suspected Robber Arrested Through Crime Stoppers Tip

Authorities say a Crime Stoppers tip led to the arrest of a suspect in a convenience store robbery.

Wichita Falls Police say 30-year-old Mark Booth is charged with robbery today. Police say Booth walked into the Loves Store in the 1100 block of Central Freeway in the early morning of February 11, 2011, demanding cash from the clerk. Witnesses say Booth also threatened the clerk, saying he'd shoot if he wasn't given the cash. The entire incident was caught on surveillance video.

Just two weeks after the incident, an anonymous person called Crime Stoppers, identifying Booth as the suspect in that crime. Police records of Booth matched the suspects description. They say Booth also had two previous convictions for robbery, one conviction for theft, and one conviction for failure to ID a fugitive from justice.

The clerk and her supervisor both picked Mark Booth out of a photo line-up.
