Citywide Cleanup In Wichita Falls

To help kick off the Great American Cleanup and Don't Mess With Texas Trash Off, two organizations, Keep Wichita Falls Beautiful and Be Clean and Green Wichita Falls, are sponsoring a city wide cleanup in Wichita Falls.

Volunteers will be gathering at Scotland Park, located at Central Freeway and N. 3rd Street, at 9 AM Saturday.

Groups will be assigned one of several areas to clean in the park and surrounding neighborhoods.

Participants are encouraged to wear gloves, boots, comfortable clothes and hats, and to bring water or sports drinks.

Items gathered during the citywide cleanup that can't fit in the regular trash bins can be taken to the City Transfer Station, free for City residents, located at 3200 Lawrence Road, from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM on Saturday.
