Lady Coyotes Advance to Regional Finals

The Wichita Falls High School Lady Coyotes are in uncharted territory.

The Lady Coyote soccer team defeated Canyon 4-1 Friday at Memorial Stadium in the Region I-4A Semifinals, to advance to their first Regional Final.

They'll face #6 Denton Ryan, who beat Abilene Wylie 6-0 in the second semifinal.

Sierra Anderson scored her fifth goal of the playoffs just four minutes into the game, and Loudell Crumpler made it 2-0 from long range in the seventh minute.

Amber Garcia scored off of a Payton Fookes corner kick with three minutes to play in the first, but Canyon got one back late in the first half to make it 3-1 at the break.

Garcia set up Cassidy Beer on the right side for a second-half goal that provided the final score.
